An opportunity has arisen to join this large accounting firm on a temporary basis within the Indirect Tax team.
The successful candidate will join the VAT Health Care Team, a team which excels in providing a differential service to its clients, from immediate effect to the end of June.
The role entails the following:
1. Contracted Out Services reviews
- active management of 25 engagements.
- liaising with NHS Trust clients to obtain an data download from their purchase ledger, and in turn liaising with GSS in Bangalore so that they can analyse the data the result of which is the production of an exception report.
- on site visits to the Trusts concerned in order to confirm that the exceptions are eligible for a VAT refund and liaise with the client accordingly as well as providing feedback to GSS as appropriate.
2. Advising on VAT effective procurement
- liaising with Trusts in order to identify significant VAT costs;
- work with the wider VAT health team to identify ways of restructuring the contract so that the VAT cost is reduced.
The role is based in London, however it will involve the secondee travelling to various UK client sites (covering Kent to South Wales and Cornwall and Devon) so will entail the candidate spending time in the Bristol office also it would be beneficial if had access to a car.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously. They must be able to develop a strong rapport with clients across all levels. This is a frontline role, and is a key component of the firm's growth strategy.
