ShireВ’s taxation department is held in extremely high regard, playing an integral part in the development of key business decisions.
The role will be responsible for financial accounting for the global tax team. Key duties will be:
Preparation of the consolidated global tax accounts maintained under US GAAP and relevant local GAAP including analysis of positions under ASC 740 and FIN 48
Managing the quarterly and year end reporting process and preparing the group tax numbers and disclosures under the current SOx-compliant process
Developing and maintaining the Group Effective Tax Rate model for use in strategic modelling, quarterly reporting, cash tax forecast and ROIC tax aspects
Involved with the development of internal tax accounting processes to drive improved efficiency and accuracy in the preparation of the GroupВ’s tax reporting, working with other Group functions
Candidates will need to be qualified accountants with the prerequisite technical experience required for the role, preferably gained in-house in a multinational organisation. Sound knowledge of US GAAP is highly desirable as is the ability to work as part of a team and use initiative to deliver projects on time.
