Preparation of Self Assessment Income Tax Returns
Including pre tax year end review to ensure the most tax efficient remuneration is taken
Including review of sole trader/partnership accounts prepared by external self employed accountant in which are used to prepare the Income Tax Returns
Preparation of Forms P11D
Including applying for dispensation if applicable
Including company car review
Completion of tax reviews for all clients businesses from sole traders through to multi-national companies
Including review of the prepared accounts to identify all areas which have tax implications, such as;
1.Balance sheet review - fixed assets for capital allowances, trade debtors for associated businesses, other debtors for loans to directors/employees, bank, cash and investment levels for entrepreneurs relief/business assets definitions, other creditors for directors loan accounts, accruals for timing of tax allowable payments, all other obvious areas which may be one offs on that particular client such as research and development credits.
Profit and loss account and GP for business norm/explain any variations, sub contract labour for CIS criteria, self employed workers for status review, repairs for items which are capital, sundries for items which require disallowing on the tax computation, all other obvious areas which require reviewing such as legal and professional, bad debts, entertaining
* Including review of the tax computations to agree the taxable profits of all applicable schedules, review the associated companies and all other computation entries, confirming the correct rates of tax to be charged i.e. Close Investment Holding Companies
* Provide practical tax advice on methods of reducing the Corporation Tax liability for the company, weighing this up against the 'overall' tax position of the company and director/shareholders, such as;
1. Remuneration planning - salary/dividends/EBT's
2. Benefit strategy's
3. Review issues such as IR35
4. Loan account interest charges
5. Review against available tax investment opportunities
? Preparation of Capital Gains Tax computations for both companies and individuals
? All tax work associated with providing incorporation advice
? Dealing with Inland Revenue Compliance checks on clients behalf
? Providing practical tax advice (considering the wider implications as well as the question at hand) to both external sources such as clients and internal contacts such as accounts managers and Firm directors.
? Reviewing incoming post daily and taking action as necessary.
