The company
This is a fantastic opportunity for an assistant manager to focus on international corporate tax with one of the Big Four. In this role you will enjoy the challenge of working with a variety of high profile clients on both ongoing advisory work and specific project work, such as third party acquisitions and disposals, intra-group reorganisations, debt restructuring, etc. You will often be a member of a cross disciplinary team, broadening your tax and commercial awareness by working with advisory and assurance teams as well as liaising with other areas of tax.
The role
This role involves working on a portfolio of clients. The work includes:
- Providing advice on a wide range of projects
- Working on large clients with international links
- Developing key client relationships with in-house tax departments
- Understanding the client's business and helping to identify areas for the provision of tax and other services
- Carrying out detailed technical research in a variety of areas
- Involvement in business development activity
- Assisting with major tax advisory assignments and project management
- Coaching and mentoring staff
About you:
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Be CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent qualified
- Have a history of developing strong client relationships
- Be a strong team player
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills are required in addition to strong oral and written communication skills
- Have a good UK corporate tax knowledge and an awareness of other tax and accounting areas
- Have an awareness and experience of international tax issues
- Have high level analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
