An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join this leading financial services organisation on a long-term contract basis, covering maternity leave. The position is to start as soon as possible and will run until January 2013. This key role will see you assisting with the preparation and reporting of all UK income tax and social security filing obligations for internationally mobile employees, assisting with all employer compliance relating to the movement of employees in and out of the UK as well as liaising with external advisers and assisting with ad hoc project work. Ideally, you will be ATT qualified or equivalent and have experience in either expatriate tax or payroll or personal tax (with an awareness of international issues). In return for your expertise, you will be supported to develop your skills and gain experience in-house with a leading company.
The Role
Assisting in the preparation and reporting of all UK income tax and social security filing obligations for non IA internationally mobile staff to ensure individual compliance.
Preparation of UK tax returns.
Attending arrival/departure briefings and dealing with documentation to be filed with HM Revenue & Customs.
Preparing and issuing E101/A1/CofC applications to HM Revenue & Customs.
Providing assistance for all employer compliance relating to the movement of employees in and out of the UK.
Collecting data for year end reconciliations for expatriate payroll and assistance with preparation.
Forms P11d (for employees on outsourced payroll)
Appendix 4 declaration as well as the initial preparation of forms for Manager review.
Assisting senior colleagues in providing support to IA clients and co-ordinating input from the external advisors.
Together with Senior colleagues, provide assistance to internal colleagues with the technical aspects of the outsourced expatriate payroll.
Assisting Senior colleagues in providing ad hoc advisory support to the UK and Global business on Employment Tax related issues.
About You
ATT qualified or equivalent.
1 - 3 years' relevant business experience preferably working in an expatriate tax department.
Understanding of HR concepts underpinning international mobility including payroll.
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships.
