This large retail business is now looking to recruit a tax manager. THe role itself will be mixed tax however they would look at candidates directly from practice with a corproate tax background. Duties will include:
Work closely with tax advisers to ensure seamless provision of tax support to the business.
Work with adviser in the preparation of corporation tax computations for all companies.
Support payroll team in the preparation and submission of company’s PIID forms to HMRC.
Preparation and submission of company’s PAYE Settlement Agreement for the tax year 5 April 2009 to HMRC – due filing date tbc from HMRC.
Review of company’s VAT quarter returns ended Feb, May, Aug, November to HMRC – due filing date as per VAT return form.
Preparation and submission of Form 42 share reporting to HMRC.
Work with tax advisers to support preparation of year end tax charge and notes for the statutory accounts with supporting draft corporation tax computations, Detailed workings showing the movement on creditor balances and consolidated reconciliation for review and sign off with auditors.
Preparation and submission of correspondence to HMRC as a result of any enquiries in respect of all taxes.
Work with Tax advisers to ensure payment of overseas taxes is managed on a timely and accurate basis
Keep SAO documentation uptodate identifying risk and controls on an ongoing basis
