This is an excellent opportunity with a leading property company for someone working in an accountancy practice who is looking for their first step out of practice and wants to specialise in tax. The tax accountant would join the current tax team of 5 and provide assistance on most areas of corporation tax.
Full support will be given to the incumbent to ensure that this move provides a structured and progressive career.
The role will include:
-Preparation and submission of the yearly corporation tax and non-resident landlord returns to the HM Revenue & Customs.
-Calculation of tax payments due for each of the companies.
-Preparation of Construction Industry Returns
-Preparing all tax aspects of year end statutory accounts, including:
-tax provisions for the year for the group and for the individual active companies, including prior year, current year current tax and deferred tax charges;
-balance sheet corporation tax creditors and deferred tax provisions;
-relevant tax notes, and review of other disclosures for possible tax implications.
-Tax calculations for any budgets and forecasts prepared by the finance team.
-Being involved in providing tax advice and calculating tax liabilities for specific projects and transactions as they arise.
-Researching specific technical issues as and when the need arises.
-Development of database of tax knowledge acquired from the compliance and advice work carried out.
