A hedge fund in NYC is currently seeking an easygoing and curious Tax Accountant to join its dedicated team of professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 3 years of public or private experience in corporate or partnership tax to further advance their career and work in a challenging, constantly changing environment full of smart and intellectually curious people. •Prepare Federal, State, and Local partnership and other tax returns
•Coordinate compliance and correspondence with tax authorities
•Collect data and organize documents/binders for various tax examinations
•Research federal, state and international tax issues, and compose memoranda summarizing the findings
•Prepare the state apportionment schedules including an annual review of the rules for each jurisdiction
•Update book vs. tax basis reconciliation with M-3 analysis to assist in modeling and planning
•Prepare periodic and year-end estimated tax schedules
Required Skills
•3+ years of public or private experience in corporate or partnership tax
•Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication
•Close attention to detail
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
