Our Calgary Tax practice is seeking Associates to join our Business Compliance Services (BCS) group which provides Canadian corporate tax compliance services.
Responsibilities
- You will be a key member of the Corporate Compliance Team accountable for the preparation of Canadian corporate tax returns and other tax returns and forms as required.
- Through the process of self-review, you will identify missing information and issues and bring them to the attention of the Compliance Reviewer or Client Relationship Manager.
- Through effective utilization of the tax data system, you will review and customize client data and liaise, as required, with members of the Client Relationship Team.
Competencies and Education
- Accounting, Tax, or Finance college diploma or university degree.
- Enrolment in the CGA program would be an asset, but is not required.
- Previous experience in completion of Canadian corporate tax returns would be an asset but is not required.
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to contribute within a team environment, interacting successfully with peers and senior staff.
- A commitment to providing excellent client service, including attention to detail and pride in delivering top quality work.
- A strong analytical ability is critical, with the necessary judgment to provide feedback and assessment of issues as they arise.
- Committed to on-going learning as completion of the compliance curriculum will be required.
