My client, a Big 4 firm, in Zambia is looking for a Tax Manager.
Zambia is a very exciting location with a great ex pat community. This position offers an interesting, and varied workload. Dealing with all multinationals organizations and the environment can be fairly exciting. You will be handed lots of responsibility early and you will get the opportunity for client facing work early, and the opportunity to train junior members of staff. This position also offers fast career progression – 2 reviews per annum (Jan and July) and to top it off, Zambia boasts an extremely low cost of living!
The official language of Zambia is English, with many expatriates also living in the capital Lusaka. Lusaka has become something of a boom town of late. New buildings are going up everywhere and many chain stores and shopping malls are springing up all over – this is not an overly Westernised location however! You will find a nice selection of bars and restaurants, in a more laid back environment with the added bonus of having the option to go on Safari right at your doorstep!
Desirable attributes:
-CPA or ACCA Qualified
- Important to note this is not a PURELY International Tax Role. Although all clients are international, and you will need to do International Tax, a lot of the work is Tax Accounting & Tax Audit etc. therefore the ideal person will be from a more Tax Compliance background.
- Currently at Manager or Assistant Manager grade.
